How a workflow works

A workflow starts with an event and moves through the nodes you've connected. Each node receives data, processes it, and passes the result to the next node.

  1. Trigger

    An event starts the workflow, such as a new message, member join, slash command, reaction, scheduled event, or raw Discord event.

  2. Process

    The event data moves through the workflow. You can filter or transform it, check conditions, or use AI to interpret it.

  3. Branch

    Conditions determine which path the workflow takes. Different inputs can send the workflow down different paths.

  4. Execute

    Action nodes perform the requested task, such as assigning a role, timing out a member, opening a ticket, sending a DM, or making an HTTP request.

  5. Complete

    The workflow finishes once all reachable nodes have run. The full run is recorded so you can review what happened.
